This 55 Bel Air hardtop has about 2700 miles since a complete frame off restoration in 2002, when everything was either new or rebuilt. The complete chassis and underside are painted with the same red/orange paint as the outside of the car and is very impressive. There are a lot of custom features on this car, but other than the Crager 16” wheels, the full tail light lenses with a third brake light, and the billet grille, the outside of this car looks completely stock right down to the accessory bumper guards and all other original chrome accessories.
The engine bay in this car features a slick firewall with hidden wiring, under dash Raingear wipers with delay, a Griffin Radiator with a manual and electric fan hidden in the shroud, and many chromed aluminum accessories on the 300 horse 327 engine with a slightly bigger cam, and an Edelbrock carb. The power is transferred to the 73 Nova 10 bolt 3.73 geared rear end via a 700 R4 overdrive transmission. Exhaust is handled by coated headers that exit through a 2 ½ inch flowmaster system with a crossover pipe. Steering is smooth with the leather wrapped billet wheel, and tilt column all connected to the power rack & pinion unit that is fit snuggly to the bottom of the frame. Power assisted front disc/rear drum brakes bring this ride to a stop nicely.

Billet dash trim, sill plates, pedals & door handles accent the stock 55 convertible seat cover pattern sewn to fit the hardtop seats with matching red seat belts. The Dakota Digital dash and clock keep an eye on the engine while the Airtique heat and air unit keep the interior comfortable. Tunes are supplied by a fold down Sony C.D. cruise control, a trunk mounted battery, under dash hood release, and an original reproduction traffic viewer on the dash.
This car has two platinum certificates from Classic Chevy Club national shows receiving 988 and 992 points out of a possible 1000. It also has a highest award of gold certificate from Bowtie Chevys national show where it scored 984 and 992 out of a possible 1000.
